Me, Brother Barack, and Others

At long last, here are a few of the photos from the Barack Obama fundraiser I attended. Here’s Barack chatting with supporters moments after addressing the crowd with his “Fired Up” speech. 00280016.jpg

And here’s a picture of me and “Brother Barack” (yes, that’s actually how I addressed him when I chatted with him briefly) just as he was leaving. OK, I know–I look like a stalker. Notice the Secret Service Agent keeping his eye on me. His look seems to be saying: “Don’t tempt me, punk.” 00280014.jpg

And finally, here’s me with one of the organizers of the event, acclaimed TV director Paris Barclay. Warning: objects in the photo are not so large and scary as they appear.

    Mr. Mcmillan,
My name is scott mistic and I am a member of the most diverse work force in the history of the world. I am a Sergeant in the United States army. I don’t have any objections to the next president of the united states being a black man, but I don’t see the signifigance of race. Why does It matter? If we all believe that men and women from all walks of life are created equal, why is the pigment of their skin so important when running for office? Now I know that this reason for supporting brother barack was never stated on this particular website, at least not what I have seen, but a lot of my friends say that it does mean a lot to them that there is a possibility that the next president of the united states could be a black man. I posed them the same question (don’t worry, I’m not just picking on you) and they said the usual things people of my profession say- “I dunno, because it would be fucking cool” etc.
email me so I can get your take on it, I’m halfway around the world and any kind of correspondance is welcomed. oh, and forgive me for any mispelled words or gramatical errors, because according to john kerry the majority of those who serve in the armed forces are ignorant, uneducated lower class who had nothing better to do than get involved in a war.
    best of wishes
    SGT Mistic

Thanks Brother Dave for embarassing those %#@$& republicans!

  6. KEVIN Says:

I’d vote for a black man, but never a democrat.

Nice job on TV. Like with the *cough* “undecided” *cough democratic voters for the democratic debates, I thought this was a chance for ‘undecided republican voters’ to ask questions to decide who is going to be the republican candidate. Should have asked the ‘diamonds or pearls’ question, though. That would have really helped alot of people decide who to vote for.

why won’t anyone respond to me??
